ARTIST BIOS
David Nembhard is a Professor of Engineering at Harvey Mudd College. His research is at the intersection of human performance, complex systems, operations research, and learning. He has published over one hundred articles from the fields of human factors, operations research, engineering management, transportation, health systems, and artificial intelligence. Nembhard served on the board of The Englert Theater (englert.org), and he is past president of Corvallis OSU Piano International (corvallispiano.org) with a mission of Building a Culture of Piano in Corvallis - through performance, outreach, and education.
Danae Schulz is an associate professor of biology at Harvey Mudd College. Her research program centers on studying parasites that cause neglected disease, including African trypanosomiasis and malaria. She also teaches courses on molecular biology. Danae would like to thank her family for putting up with all her practicing, and specifically her mom for riding an overnight train to hear her play the violin for 10 minutes.
