Students in the HMC Jazz Improvisation course, directed by Professor Robert Keller, will be performing tunes by pianist and composer Chick Corea. We will be playing in various groups, from four or more musicians in each.

Chick Corea (b. 1941, Chelsea, MA) is one of the greatest and best-known modern jazz pianists and composers. His compositions range from obvious Andalusian influences to dissonant post-bop harmonies. His performances range from acoustic to electric instruments, and from bebop to fusion. He has played as a leader on many recordings since 1966 and is still active, recording and touring around the world. His Grammy awards include Best Jazz Performance by a Group, Best Instrumental Arrangement, and Best Improvised Jazz Solo.
